Fremont Insurance Brings Up Commercial Umbrella in Ten Weeks

Columbia, S.C. – January 2, 2012 – SpeedBuilder Systems, Inc.,  a leading provider of software and services for the insurance industry, today announced that Michigan-based Fremont Insurance  has added  Commercial Umbrella to the BindExpress Suite in just ten weeks.  The additional line builds on the foundation laid with the implementation of Deluxe Contractors Package and Commercial Package Policies, and proves Fremont’s agility in bringing products to the market fast.  The BindExpress Suite allows internal underwriters and external agents to process all insurance transactions, access all forms, and communicate using a single, 24 by 7, web-based platform.

“No other competitor of Fremont allows Commercial Package straight through processing like Fremont,” said Kristin Economus, a Commercial Lines Agent at Mourer Foster Insurance, a Fremont agency based in Lansing, MI.  “As a former underwriter, I feel like I have access to their internal system; I can quote anything without having to go to their underwriters.  It’s all there for me.”

“We started this project just 10 weeks ago,” said Dave Mangin, CIO of Fremont Insurance Company. “Delivering all that functionality – for all possible transaction types – could only be accomplished with a highly configurable system.  We expect the development time savings to be reflected in future maintenance and enhancement costs, as well.”
